About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Azure APIM Administrator to support the design, administration, security, and ongoing optimization of Azure API Management (APIM) within a Microsoft Azure enterprise environment. This role requires strong hands-on experience across the Azure ecosystem, with particular emphasis on API Management, self-hosted Integration Runtime, Azure infrastructure, and end-to-end Microsoft platform integration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Azure architecture, API governance, security, connectivity, and platform operations, with the ability to support scalable and secure enterprise integration patterns.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer, configure, and support Azure API Management (APIM) environments
• Manage API gateways, policies, products, subscriptions, versioning, and lifecycle controls
• Support and maintain self-hosted Integration Runtime and related hybrid connectivity components
• Work across Azure infrastructure components to enable secure and reliable API operations
• Implement API security controls including authentication, authorization, certificates, secrets, and network restrictions
• Configure and support integrations across the broader Microsoft technology stack
• Monitor API performance, health, usage, and diagnostics using Azure-native monitoring and logging tools
• Troubleshoot issues across APIM, connectivity, networking, infrastructure, and dependent services
• Support CI/CD, deployment automation, and environment promotion for API management solutions
• Collaborate with architects, developers, cloud engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure best practices
• Establish and maintain operational standards, documentation, and governance for API management
• Support production issues, platform upgrades, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications
• 4–5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure
• Proven experience administering and supporting Azure API Management (APIM)
• Strong experience with self-hosted Integration Runtime
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and cloud platform services
• Experience working across the Microsoft framework end-to-end in enterprise environments
• Knowledge of API security, governance, and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with Azure networking concepts including VNets, private endpoints, firewalls, DNS, and connectivity
• Experience with Azure identity and security services such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Key Vault, and RBAC
• Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostics tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Experience supporting deployments through DevOps pipelines and infrastructure/configuration management
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, or related Azure integration services
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments with strong operational governance
• Familiarity with API lifecycle management and platform standards
• Microsoft Azure certifications are an asset
